Yeah, I’m too poor IRL to afford the non-built version I outlined... a fully built motor didn’t even cross the brain haha. From my research though... Supertech makes valves, springs, and pistons for the EZ30D, Kelford makes cams, Raptor makes headers, and anyone who wanted their own intake manifold just got out their

That Outback build would be LEGENDARY. Best post so far. I’ve actually wanted to do something similar with my little brother’s ‘04 Wagon... I priced it out, and the total came out to just under $20,000 in parts with a Raptor supercharger, a tune, and everything imaginable done to the suspension/brakes/wheels/tires.

For my daily driver: BMW F30 328i xDrive Sports Wagon. Estoril Blue Metallic. FULL F80 M3 swap - drivetrain (with manual transmission and LSD), suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, body components (including widened front/rear fenders), Amaro Brown Extended Leather interior, etc. Basically, I’d build an F80 M3 Touring.

Cool! Now sell it here, please!

I disagree entirely. The Subaru 4EAT is slow and stupid, and SVX’s regularly ate their transmissions. The 5MT used in the more powerful Japanese Imprezas would have been a much better fit.

If you’re going to Armenia, pick up a Mercedes W124 or W210. Parts are EVERYWHERE, because those cars are ridiculously common over there. And for the same reason, everyone there knows how to wrench on them in ways that keep them going. They’re also WAY better than Ladas in every conceivable way.

Nipple!

If Mercedes sold the G-wagen that started at about $30,000 with one of their old/outdated naturally-aspirated six-cylinders and a manual transmission, Jeep would be in serious trouble.

Fine by me.

BMW 850Ci, or a CSi if you can find one!!! With a six-speed manual, of course!!!

“The law?! I AM THE LAW!!”

Nahhh... That owner just wanted to build the 3rd-gen Subaru Outback XT we never got here in the states!

If he’s responsible, he’ll know to stay out of the ditch on his own. If not, no amount of weekly checkups will keep him out of it. Trust me on that one - I’ve seen both sides of this scenario. And nine times out of ten, the kids of the helicopter parents fall the hardest - BY FAR. The most important thing is for him

Wholeheartedly agree. I live in LA; there’s more good Mexican restaurants within a five mile radius of me than there are hospitals, police stations, and fire stations combined (probably). And yet, friends repeatedly go to Chipotle... blows my mind.

Now playing

All I could think of when listening to that guy talk is this...

Exactly. And by doing so, they’ve set themselves apart as their own brand, with its own distinct appeal. And as my dad can attest (2013 Volvo S60 T5 Platinum), the allure is quite strong.

OH...

The “shipped around the world” thing rings so true!

An encyclopedia of cars. I skipped my school reading in grade school to read it. Notable cars that I took a liking to at as young as age 4 as a result:

The XJ’s sound cool, but everything else on that list???
