Well my mom has a 2011 Outback 3.6R and I've test-driven a 2013 Legacy 2.5i and 3.6R. And you're right; although I like all three a lot, I don't love all three. SOA really did mess up with the 5th-gen.

The 4EAT is the weakest link in every Subaru it's been put in, including mine (2004 Outback H6). It's heavy, it's bulky, it's dumb and slow to shift, and it's weak enough that an SVX's 240 hp will chew through one easily.

Gawd damn dude, that's awesome!!! Haha I love me a Subaru H6 (got one myself; '04 OB). One of the best and most underrated engines Subaru ever produced..
