Now I feel they’re just getting too gimmicky. The original segment was great because they were tossing stars out in woefully poor cars onto a track that they also use to set blazing fast times in supercars. It was great to see how good/bad the drivers were and being able to compare them directly to other cars the stig

I was worried about this becoming an extremely long hard-fought battle between FIA/FOM and the teams/drivers because this decision ultimately shifts the balance of power. I read Wil Buxton’s blog yesterday about the topic and it really drives home the underlying politics of this issue. https://willthef1journo.wordpress

You sound like you need a break from the internet.

So, production staff gets all the necessary approvals to use a public road for filming of a segment for their program and somehow it’s their fault for what they decided to film? Direct your ire at the government who gave approval in the first place - they’re the ones responsible for what happens on this beloved

Sounds like the British Army should be doing more important things for their country than complaining about how a public road “close” to their monument is used.

Couldn’t be said any better. Bunch of soft-asses pandering to BBC management. I can imagine this will only mean incredibly dull and boring PC-content.

Or, you know, you could just not tailgate people. Just because someone isn’t driving in a manner which you find to be appropriate doesn’t give you the right to pester them about it. You are free to move to another lane just as much as the person you’re tailgating does. You deserve to crash your car if you insist on

Johnny has been given every opportunity to correct his habits. Its difficult to feel bad for someone who refuses to do anything to make their lives better. If he hasn’t been able to get his act together, there’s not much hope for him right now. He’s put himself on this path to failure.

it wasn’t that much of a fall...

“Between that and other cost-cutting efforts...”

That concerns me. Cutting corners to save money helps keep the race happening, but where did they cut the costs and will they adversely affect the experience fans and teams alike will have at the track and in town? The last thing this race needs is to piss the fans off

You can only be revolutionary so many times, or in the case of the Veyron be revolutionary more than once. What would it have taken for the Chiron to be “revolutionary”? That’s an honest question because the only answers I can come up with are so incredibly unreasonable that expecting them in the next 50 years is hard

Unfortunately, I don’t think even a departure of Bernie from the helm of FOM would make any appreciable difference to the landscape of F1 Grand Prix around the world. He’s set things up such that his group gets paid millions and screws the teams and tracks out of money they rightfully deserve. He can even control what

if you ain’t cheatin, you ain’t tryin.

This.... he’s about the furthest thing from what a hipster actually is.

I’ll counter by saying that the number of dropped passes for considerable gains which would have sustained drives and built momentum against that pass rush far outnumbered the overthrown passes on Cam’s part. He wasn’t perfect, but neither was Peyton yet everyone seems apt to give him all the praise for winning that

I don’t know how anyone could say Cam blew the game. Last I checked, he wasn’t blocking the pass rush, or dropping passes, or fumbling balls inside the red zone. I’m not a Cam fan, but in my eyes he did everything he reasonably could to salvage the game. His offense simply couldn’t get the job done against that

NFL rules, i believe. They’ll likely fine him for leaving the presser, but the pressers in themselves are a joke and serve only to give the media sound bits to run with for days, weeks, months on end. Sure, let’s grab professional athletes who are passionate and emotional about the game they dedicate themselves to,

those moniker spray paintings are amazing.

Your hate seems rather... blind.
