Really the R8 doesnt *need* that much of an engine to perform as well as it does. To put it into perspective, the R8 tips the scales at 3,800 lbs in its heaviest trim (3,600 lbs. is more reasonable), whereas the RS7 comes in at a hefty 4,400 lbs. That 6-800 lbs difference is HUGE.
