Just as gizmodo has a MASSIVE chub for everything apple...

Jalopnik has an even larger chub for everything detroit...

can't say I didn't see this coming or even feel bad for the city. This is the end-result of the proverbial "putting all your eggs into one basket", aka the auto industry.

Best of luck to the city and

Its a fantastic problem to have. It ultimately gives you the control over what car and deal you go with. You are correct, though, that finding a good deal on the ST will be difficult as stock has been fairly low. If you wait a year, you could also find yourself able to get a better deal on an ST while also being able

If youre seriously considering the GTI, and a new one at that, I'd be very keen to the idea of waiting for the Mk7 GTI to be released to the US markets. European reviews are already looking to be fantastic, and if the GTI is something you'd like, give it the chance it deserves. Plus... with the tuning market that is

The VR6 is hands-down one of the most bullet-proof and reliable engines I know... well, short of the B16 honda engines. Fuel economy isnt fantastic (though you can touch 30 if you drive it right), and maintenance can be a bit tough because it takes up a good amount of space in the engine bay, but if you take care of

unless you modified it, all 12v VR6 engines made about 172-175hp at the crank. That encompasses both the OBD1 and OBD2 engines found between the Corrado, Mk3 Jetta/GTI, and Mk4 Jetta/GTI. The 24v VR6 made about 220hp at the crank, but as you stated wasn't introduced until the 2002.5 mid-generation revision. The R32 is

If there was a way to get these in high-res wallpaper versions..... Please... do it.

This is why I love LeMans weekend!

still havent figured out two things...

Came to say pretty much this. Didnt realize the front page was somewhere for the editors to air out the day's complaints. Not to discredit what happened here because its obvious the agent was out of line, I just don't see how this article can be considered "front page", let alone "Jalopnik" worthy.

i noticed this too... slightly odd to see an ohio plate in Oklahoma... haha

Bravo, sir... bravo.

So he had enough time to grab his gear and run back down the bridge... but not enough time to hop on the ATV, turn it around, and drive down the bridge. Because, you know, the ATV is slower than a running human.

And the parade of excess continues.

I paid $20/person during the Grand-AM race at CotA to go up the tower. Not cheap, but its an experience that was worth every bit of the money. Took this panoramic photo while up in the tower.

And yes, it was quite scary to stand on that glass floor and know its 230-some feet to the ground.

youre putting up a strong defense, but unfortunately the cards are stacked against you.

severely underwhelmed.

Well StreetsideStig said he "doesn't count this among them", referencing frivolous lawsuits.

We live in a society of gawkers (hey i made a pun!) and people who crave the disastrous. 48 hours of Boston Bombing coverage showing the same photos and video, yet wanting more? Yup. Constant coverage over school shootings? Yup. Slowing down just to look at some tragic accident that may have killed someone? Yup.

Also... did some "research".... this is where the video was taken. Less than 1,000 feet from the explosion.

Just... wow

Whats sad, and call me unamerican or whatever... but I was legitimately more scared having watched that video than I did of those in Boston. That was truly a terrifying video to have seen and I sincerely hope the two in this video are okay.

This video is visual proof of how far along /Drive has come from its fledgling days. This video pales in comparison to the production value of the /Drive review videos on youtube. Hats off to those guys for bringing a production value seen only on network cable/BBC2 ;) to the youtubes. Your videos make the gaps
