1) Differernt writers, different opinions.

ummm what?  The writer literally says they don’t like Starfield.  I don’t know where you’re getting that Kotaku loves the game, because that sounds like some shit you made up.

Was it the same author who wrote the article you are referring to, or are you saying that the writer’s for a site should all be in agreement about everything relating to a topic they write about?

The giant pick up truck crowd is in there someplace. It does affect us all.

The problem is that this kind of stupid shit ends up affecting all of us

You may not have seen my other comment, but on a long road trip we occasionally allow non-messy snacks, but we didn’t allow this until our kids were 4-5 years old. It’s also not free-reign. Even today something like Cheerios would be a no-go, as they are easily smashed into carpet or seats. The same goes for anything

Go load a carseat and keep a 3-7yo kid buckled in a 3rd row “Not a minivan” crossover. Holy heck. I have a easier time in a 2+2 with two car seats because I can reach the seats from the front. You can’t do that in you HOA assault “not a minivan” vehicle. You are going to have to crawl back there to buckle/unbuckle and

No matter what car you put kids in, it’ll end up a Kid Car, with all the accoutrement that entails. It’ll be filthy, it’ll smell weird, and you may not much enjoy your time spent behind its steering wheel.”

I’m not quite a 40 year veteran, but I am 40 years old and have been playing Mario games for at least 35 of those years. I like that these games have gotten easier over time. Like most adults I have a busy life, and by the time I can sit down and play a game at the end of the day I don’t have the mental energy to deal

Shocking that people aren’t wild about $60k (at 7% interest!) cars with limited, often-broken charging infrastructure and insane repair and maintenance costs.

Always get the insurance. Always. Sooner or later you’ll need it, and you’ll be really glad you had it. One incident will likely cover all the costs have and will ever spend on rental insurance and then some.

You get what you pay for. Turo is fine until something goes wrong. For both the “hosts” and the “guests”. If you think dealing with a traditional rental car company is difficult, just wait until you have an issue with this madness.

I’m guessing it is more about logistics.  Doesn't want to run a mini scrap yard out of his driveway, but probably ok with someone buying it as a parts car.

Weird. Normal people don’t want to buy a $50k car with 7% interest rates, tech that’s outdated faster than a modern smartphone, a business model that’s constantly pushing microservices, and tracks all your movements with no way to opt out or find out where that information is going?

let volvo do the worrying. it’s their ass whether they succeed or fail. I, for one, don’t mind if car makers are trying to make something affordable for the masses.

Maybe I am old school, but unless there is promotional money behind this it is more just an infomercial or customer story/testimonial than an advertisement. I can’t find if it is actually being promoted to show to more people than just organic views.

I’m at the “actually, Blippi is way better than 90% of the kids content on YouTube” phase of parenting.

Eh, there are a ton of comedians with incredibly inappropriate material for kids who’ve still done plenty of kids entertainment. This is not the reason Blippi is awful.

You’ll know that we as a society have failed the moment that Funko Pops start showing up on Antiques Roadshow.

The article is right that we’re so dead set on electricity that we’re throwing out the window any research for more convenient and environmentally friendly sources of energy. Even other battery technologies are being pushed aside.
