A federal benchmark for safety requirements and universal emissions / tax / quality requirements as a foundation for States to then build off of is not a dumb idea. In fact, it’s the current way in which the government regulates automobiles — autonomous cars just a have a few more challenges to face.

My ‘08 w/ SH-AWD handles much better. Two quick revs, and the AWD system overheated on me in the snow. I’ve also never had a vehicle AWD…
