It was my friend’s 17th birthday and we were going to see the movie Half Baked. (Oddly enough, I don’t think any of us were stoned, which is kind of surprising considering what happened next.)

We had an hour before the movie started. So we headed to the Tower Records to kill some time. It was at this point that

I was going to respond with “Asian American, please.” But out of context that could be grossly offensive.

The Horror of Dolores Roach is a really engaging scripted audio drama, with great production design and stellar voice acting by Daphne Rubin-Vega, Bobby Cannavale, Richard Kind, Abigail Spencer, Margaret Cho, and David Zayas. It’s a story about gentrification, love, betrayal, empanadas, weed, and cannibalism.

That was Gerads’ quote not King’s.

I can't even hear her newer, more popular songs, like "chandelier," without thinking of her as the artist who sang the song used in the finale of Six Feet Under. So good!

I think this is already a great song, used really well in the show, but the fact that it is connected to arguably the best series finale of any TV show, made this my clear choice for most inextricably linked.

This was the first episode of South Park I had watched in a few
years, and I stopped watching regularly right around the same time as
you.
