Everyone “cancels” things they don’t like, this isn’t novel. Conservatives just really don’t like when it is used against them, since it makes them choose between money and their prejudices, which is sometimes really hard. So they gave it a name that triggered people.

I have friends whom Doug TenNapel would like to see dead.

You might have an argument, except that Doug TenNapel is writing bigoted shit now, today (okay, last week).

The funny thing is, you can identify and discuss the problematic aspects of a creator and their work while still finding merit in their work, instead of trying to dismiss all criticism in hopes of not having to think critically about it.

Fuck this post is stupid. Jesus.

Listen man, I’m not saying no one is ever allowed to watch Mad Max because Mel Gibson is antisemetic, I’m not saying no one is allowed to watch X-Men because Bryan Singer is a pedophile, I’m not saying no one is allowed to watch anything produced by rapist Harvey Weinstein, I’m not saying no one is allowed to watch

Doug Tennapel is the frustrating case of a very talented artist who writes enjoyable stories and is also a terrible human being. Thankfully, the list of such people is very small.

“I’m cool with racism and homophobia.” - Supernoper, August 10, 2020

might as well burn all art and media before the 1980s then

Look, if you’re someone with an impervious firewall between a creator and their creations

it felt like i was having a stroke while writing this story

“I have no idea why Twitch banned me.”

While those who prefer PC, Xbox, and PlayStation are all completely rational and reasonable people.

Grief hits you in the weirdest ways. I lost my father to COVID in early April. (He was already in ill health, and was recovering from an operation in the hospital when he caught it, and passed away a week later.) When I was growing up, the SNES was the first system we got, and I have very fond memories of playing DKC

Hot takes: Games were overpriced for much of their existence. Publishers have driven up the price of development, not the market. Developers — the actual people working on the games — are about as likely to benefit from the inevitable price hike as consumers are.

When I read takes like this all I really hear is “I want to play a happy game and this ain’t it”. So like, okay- go play that game.

It’s not really her responsibility to ask someone not to be a creep towards her.

A quote I always think of is, “money doesn’t change you; it just changes how you filter yourself.”

LOL at all that hype for another fucking mobile game. At least Smile was adorable.
