Disney has the TV rights to all the Spider-Man characters, so I’m guessing this part of the rumored deal to keep Spidey in the MCU... Sony gets to develop Spidey TV shows (they reportedly want several cartoons based on Into the Spider-Verse alone), so this all makes sense.
