@ian.nai: i actually got a kernel update for my Arch install quite recently; and i am not sayin that these things make a power user, i was just saying that many of them are universal and not limited to windows.

@ian.nai: when i was in 7th grade my dad had an extra crt monitor, plugged it in and never looked back.

@ian.nai: so over in "*nix land" you never update a graphics card(or any other hard ware), enable trim on an ssd, clean out the tower and other components, or over-clock?

@dfp3050: "looks like this place needs another revolution."

@ian.nai: Have a problem? Blame the political party that you are not a part of! Every one is doing it, after all pointing fingers is much much easier than doing something productive isn't it?

@Michael Ellis: The issue there is called "peak load" since you can not store large amounts of electricity quickly and efficiently every bit of power used has to be generated on the spot. People use much much more power during the peak times than normal, The cars would be programed so that they would charge overnight

Due to the nature of power plants ( always on) they use much less fuel per unit of energy they produce than cars, also with new nuclear reactor tech we can get nuclear fuel to last twice as long and leave non weapons grade waste that loses its radioactivity in a hundred years or so, allowing for almost unlimited no

@John Crane: its just a widget, like any other it can be removed, replaced, modified or changed. there is nothing about the home screen that you can not customize

you know what i hate apple, but if they just added Bluetooth i would buy this and wear it like a watch in a heartbeat.

@mrdobo: i am not asking for less apple news just that the major items of news for other platforms be at the very least noted. And it was (hence my comment above)

@Korrupt: well dam, checked giz for it 5 minutes before it was posted, then at 6 i looked through the first two pages looking for anything on it. looks like i missed it, i will allow my comment to stand unedited as a warning for all who would skim (and for those who forget that chrome has a search function).

i love how gizmodo has enough time to post even the most obscure apple rumors but not enough time to make a 5 line article that the Droid incredible just got its 2.2 roll out.

@Arken: i think what he is trying to say is that if it where not for ingenuity and invention we would have run out of places that we could extract oil from, not out of oil per say.

@Lactose_The_Intolerant: car dock is out (have one), desk cradle was canceled due to quality control issues.

interesting, on my droid incredible pinch to zoom is much smoother than on the nexus one in the video . also the text resizes to fit the screen. are both of those improvements from sense?

@admoseremic: isn't that what he just said?a 640x480 screen would have the same pixel density as a retina display if the screen was 3 inches or less.

@Harpsichord: you do have to take into account all the people on windows with unstable graphics card over clocks. When i was working on finding a good clock for my card i used tf2 as a test, when doing that you can crash a lot as you test the clocks.

@Harpsichord: your source engine crashes? i have never had a crash in a source game that was not garrys mod.

@tomcat1483: if they make the smaller ipad have the same resolution screen the apps would not have to be recoded to fit.
