I live alone, run a business, live in a city with exceptional transport links and the means to get a taxi if absolutely necessary - which it rarely is. The idea that not having a license somehow means you can’t travel is ludicrously bloody stupid.

That person’s reasoning is nonsense. The director made a judgment call. The goal was to be diverse and avoid outdated stereotypes that are offensive today. So they had one character Asian, another black, and another made from male to female and of Celtic origin.

I’m having difficulty understanding Margaret Cho’s perspective here. It sounds like Tilda was up front about the issues, expressed her desire to do something about it and sought advice from someone who is in a good position to provide it. And Cho’s responses were thoughtful and measured as well. Not sure what got lost…

Actually it was always about harassing women. It started mainly because the abusive ex-boyfriend of a game developer made baseless accusations toward said devopler of sleeping with multiple journalists to get a good review for her game even though the game in question was free and, while she did in fact date one…

I’m disappointed the Simpsons header image isn’t consistently oriented across the years. ;)
