Heather, did no one tell you the unofficial Kotaku rule that every story about VA’s threatening a union strike needs to have a picture of handsome Troy Baker being handsome for the headline photo?

Demanding that artists and devs need to be unionized is absolutely right, but you’re shooting your argument in the foot by first attacking the fact another group is and is demanding things.
One I recommend if you don’t mind subs is Silver Spoon. It’s a slice of life one, filled with a LOT of farming information.
So they changed one single pose. That picture still exists. A google search will take you two seconds. You can still stare at her backside while playing the game and the company released 3D models so there’s more porn of Tracer than you could get bored of in a week. Anyone interested in her booty gets satisfied. Plus,…
If a hambuger had ham in it and I wasn’t expecting ham, I would probably complain. Hamburgers aren’t made of ham. They’re made of beef unless otherwise advertised. Also, you clearly lack reading comprehension because you did miss the entire point of her article. I know Amelia. We’ve talked on quite a few…
Cook: Our website isn’t for taking anything away from anime at all. Fan service is threaded into all kinds of anime.
Anime is an art form
Are you honestly afraid that discussion of art will be the end of art?
What’s her bias? That she’s not a fan of fanservice without something more to it?
She called it “wretched”, but never actually calls for it to be banned or anything, just that she doesn’t like it. Opinions are fine to have, no?
What is the goal of this group then?
This is Cecilia’s 3rd post in a month attacking sexuality though.
Anime is an art form and as such the creators should be allowed to freely express themselves.
So if criticizing something is exactly the same thing as calling for it to be censored, then that means you criticizing her is the exactly the same thing as you trying to censor her. Why do you hate free speech so much?
As consumers, we also have a right to discuss the things we watch and buy. You’re telling people they shouldn’t exercise their right to talk about something just because you disagree with what they’re saying.
Amelia Cook obviously tried to make as clear as possible that she doesn’t think that the artists should be unable to freely express themselves or that anime has to change to accommodate her opinions. She only wants to express her opinion, which is shared by many others. What’s the harm in that?
As far as I know, Leonardo never painted an underage girl almost being molested by a tentacle monster, so I don’t really support your comparison with his work...
I get pretty tired of some people using “censorship” as a reason to stop discussions they don’t want to see other people engage in.
Great interview! It’s upsetting that Amelia has to so blatantly (and repeatedly) state that she’s not advocating censorship. I expect there to be quite a few comments that cry censorship at her though.
