Didn't this use to be a blue-collar supercar?
Didn't this use to be a blue-collar supercar?
T is at this point I say again: "FORD needs a regular production sports car slotted above the Mustang to go head-to-head with the Corvette, Viper, and Porsche 911."
It's entirely understandable: What's a C7 Z06 cost... $100k if you option the crap out of it? The last Z06 outperformed the GT at half the price, is the new GT going to be outperformed for a quarter?
That price is spit-take material. $400k buys you a Ferrari 458 *and* a Nissan GT-R. I love the GT, but what on this car is worth nearly tripling the asking price over the prior generation?
All I can figure is that Ford knows that the type of people who will pay for a $200k GT will still pay $400k for it if they're…
I never thought I'd see the day where people boo a bespoke V10 and cheer a V6.
Ford is pulling a Lexus.
It won't.
I seem to remember another major automotive manufacturer releasing a bespoke super car for around the same money just recently, and everyone LOVED to hate it....
I doubt this is going to be 3x better than the 2005 Ford GT. I wonder why it nearly tripled in price.
Wasn't the last one $150k? I guess they have to adjust for the rich getting richer.
I wish I were one of those idiots...
Not exactly the working class hero I was hoping it would be, at least in terms of moolah.
100% agree. If the previous owner sold it that cheaply, chances are someone without a lot of money could have bought it and actually put it to good use, instead of being destroyed to drum up some laughs from the Jalopnik crowd.
Buying a car, even a PT Cruiser, just to destroy it is kind of wasteful.
Wait, you actually bought a school bus?
86k miles, pretty dented up passenger side .... 32$k... Gonna have to call Tyrone Biggums for his CP
car is beat to shit..
So I can buy this 5-year-old Mustang for the same price as a 2015 GT? Somebody call Tavarish.
