It’s still not OK. Apologizists like you can call it what ever they want, it’s still pointless, childish, SJW-level nitpicking. Total “no fun allowed!” whining.

Today’s the series’ 20th anniversary, and THIS re-post is Kotaku’s grand idea of celebrating it??

tl;dr: the writer’s an insecure little bitch who gets funny feels out of anime girls in videogames.

old-faggotry is a dying breed, unfortunately.

Looks too much like HALO.

no, you just missed 20 years old normie-shitstorm.

Good start.

the only Far Cry worth mentioning was released 12 years ago.

Not even a mention of Killing Floor’s beatiful 12 gauges, or BLOOD’s insanely fast and versatile sawnoff? Or how about Underhell:Chapter 1? Soldier of Fortune 2?

What you want is the Doom 64.

No, it’s not.

Still looks like utter crap.

Those hi-res packs always look like ass.

I guess you meant Serious Sam 3: BFE?

It’s linear as hell, has obligatory game-stopping “battle arenas”, and no vertical movement whatsoever. All in all SW2013 is horribly overrated modern piece of crap reboot, that only shows the complete incompetence and lack of imagination of modern-day devs.

>Re Zero

Only when they are pants-on-head-retarded, like in Twin Snakes.

The thing that you “The rest of the series was just as whacky as TS!” -sayers still don’t seem to realize that MGS1 AND the whole series always had a perfect balance: Snake was the “normal human”, fighting against the circus-freaks and tech-monsters. He didn’t do 5m high double backflips, ride rockets and 360-no-scope

You should stop playing terrible Nintendo-exclusive remake-attempts.

The big difference is the fact that those hi-res pictures were not present on the PS1 disc, just their scaled down versions. Stretching up a 240p image on modern 1080p - 2160p screens can be enough to make some people’s eyes bleed apparently. Not to mention it makes the 3D models pop up even more than before.
