The controls are fine. I seriously replay the old SH games almost annually, and I still don't see any issues with them. The "tank controls", when done RIGHT (like in SH1-3) fit the survival horror genre like a glove.

It's funny how RC is pretty much "assaulting" games these days, but leaving most of the other media forms untouched.
