About SH1... It's MUCH MORE WORK to do anything to PS1 games than to PS2 generation.

SH2 is quite unrelated to SH1's (and thus SH3's) events, while it takes place in the same town and stuff. I would personally very much recommend playing them in the release order though, SH1 is still my personal favorite in the series (and much scarier than its sequel), and SH2 is the cult hit for a good reasons.

Shame for you about Complete mod though.
