You don't get any experience and memories from racing around in a Porshe? Some people prefer the thrill of driving 200mph much more than climbing a mountain and would get much more, better memories from owning a Porshe than climbing a mountain.

Well OTG Host doesn't really matter since its not implemented across all devices and we can just transfer data wirelessly. And MHL requires a separate cord anyway, so it's just the same as using the 30 pin with a video out cord.
there is a good reason they wouldn't go with micro USB. It can't do as much as a 30 pin. It can do charging and slow data transfer, that's it. The 30 pin does much more like audio/video out for example. As well, a much faster data transfer rate like thunderbolt would be much more useful than my iPhone using the same…

Sure it's pre installed. However, your point is moot. The phone comes with it defaulted to off and you must go into your settings and explicitly turn it on.
