That would cost a fortune. Right now the larger screen aren't even the same resolution, nevermind pixel density.

There is no true iPhone 5. The next iPhone will be 6, or some other crazy name.

Actually, on the 'which OS is bigger front' no one compares oranges to oranges. Android (OS) is bigger than iPhone (phone). iPhone (phone) is bigger than any single Android (phone). However, iOS is still bigger than Android OS.

Actually, 4" and even 4.5" phones don't "fit a lot more in" than an iPhone 4 or 4s as they all have a lower resolution so the iPhone4/4S 'fits' more. The 4"+ screens simple make everything bigger, they actually fit less.

Actually, Android as an operating system doesn't sell better than iOS as an operating system. As of May 2011, Android has seen approx. 100 million activations. ([www.androidguys.com]) iOS as of Oct 4 2011 has seen over 250 million activations (sourece: iPhone 4S keynote)

I don't know if he'd want us turning off the gadgets he put his life into giving us?

Well said my friend.

Don't forget though on Verizon and Sprint you only get CDMA data speeds. As well, you can't use voice and data simultaneously, if that's important to you.

That's if it comes in June though. Apple themselves said they are moving towards a software cycle system and not hardware.

Thats what I'm worried about. I really want that camera and siri. but if I upgrade now, I won't be able to (as cheaply) in June when iPhone 5 comes.

Or you can just post it on eBay (like they'll do after they buy it from you) and get $450-650 depending on if it's jailbroken or unlocked.

That's old news. iOS 5 does support over the air updates. I've done it 4 times now from Beta 4 to beta 5, 5 to 6, 6 to 7 and 7 to GM

Probably because they want to have enough stock built at the launch to not having customers outside the US waiting 3 months for a phone because they didn't line up on day 1.

Although it is technically just data (which a call is technically just data too) a text message isn't actually data in the sense that it communicates with the network like sending an email does. In fact, it's even cheaper.. Text messages are actually sent over the control channel that is constantly communicating with

Yup. And if your carrier data or Apple data centers is down, it automatically sends as a text. As well, both text and imessage convos are in the same app, and for contacts in the same message thread. Text messages are green, imessages are blue, so you don't have to look for conversations of different types in

You can just turn off iMessage completely if there is no typing notification option

Yes. iMessage is built into text messages. If the contact has iMessage it sends as that. If not, it sends a text. So all your convos are in the same place. As well, if iMessage fails it automatically sends as a text. And yes, there is a billion dollar data center running iMessage, I don't think you have to worry too

"This time lapse video shows how to demolish a video with finesse and patience, over night." The video was contructed from the time lapse, not demolished

I agree completely on your point. But those customers generally don't read Gizmodo for phone suggestions. This article is for the people who would (over the long run) care about those features but may get into the heat of the moment and grab a FREE IPHONE

update to 4.2.1 it runs well on 3GS and even 3G
