Not sure how they know, but when my login for Gizmodo was compromised they tried the same user/pass on gmail (which was incorrect) and next time I logged into gmail it said my account was locked due to suspicious activity and gave the location of the attempts..

No, the seamlessness is quite similar actually, in fact on the iPhone the entire images comes from one lens and doesn't need to be stitched together, so the seamlessness is possibly even better.. The resolution is obviously not as high though since it's only 1 lens and not 5 different ones like in this rig.

I saw a picture where the beginning of the guardrail where it slopes into the ground (like a ramp) was all messed up... Also, the police report seemed to indicate that the car hit that 'ramp' and did indeed 'fly' into the woods, hit a tree and burst into flames.
