@David Insley: What exactly is 'true' multitasking? Running apps in the background and wasting processing power/memory and other resources like battery life.

Why? If you need/want a tablet enough that you would have bought it with a Retina Display why not buy it now, sell it for 60%+ of the cost when the iPad 3 comes out and than you'll have a tablet now and still get a retina display relatively cheap later. If you keep holding out for bleeding edge specs that no one else

probably.

He's not saying to cram it all together.. He's saying higher resolution allows you to show more on the screen with the same quality in looks. Test it on your own computer... Open up a webpage - say www.apple.com/ipad and turn your monitor resolution to the max setting, now turn it down a notch at a time and watch how

I completely agree. The cover is sheer genius. On/Off so, so easily. Protects the screen when you need it, comes right off when you don't. Stands it up and tilts it. It does everything ever so elegantly and removes it so easily that people actually will want different ones for different outfits/occasions etc... I

The cover is genius if you ask me.

Get your own dedicated server - $89/month buys you a 500gb server plus you can add unlimited amount of storage for more money ($30/TB currently) and you can do much more with your own server. best of all dedicated 100mbps connection that only you are using is pretty well guaranteed to be faster than any shared cloud

Well said.

If the xoom is discounted on contracted what makes you think the iPad won't be. Those are retail prices. ie: no contract.

sucks eh

I'm aware it's not new. Blackberry has been doing it for years. Just wondering if they had it patented. Guess not though.

sounds like a blackberry... does RIM have a patent on that? if not they need to get with the times (read: patent everything you think of even if it's stupid)

Jason - Those 'mockups' are definitely photoshopped...

Definitely Photoshopped.
