You bring up a really good question.  What would be the “fair” way of dealing with IT from the Celtics perspective after he destroyed his body during the playoffs into a contract year?  It’s a tough question imo without sounding cutthroat.  I’d be a bad GM haha.  

Celtics fan here and honestly I totally understand this take.  Celtics probably did the right move strategically, but IT deserved better.  The cognitive dissonance is real
