Wind blades are absolutely massive, and I think the scale is lost most people. It may be a renewable resource, but constructing a wind turbine is not trivial.

I bought one a year ago and haven’t missed an alarm once. It’s really as good as advertised, especially for people who tend to shut off alarms in their sleep (which I used to do). I usually have a couple of iPhone alarms set as well for safety, but waking up to a lit room helps more than anything.

Hydrogen is best thought of as an energy carrier and not an energy source. Even though it takes energy (and fossil fuels!) to produce, it may be worth it to avoid the weight / production / recharging / disposal issue of a traditional battery.
