Did you read the letter on the petition? It looks like it was started because Pao is perceived as a bad CEO who doesn’t care about Redditors. While this may have been an argument for angry sexist/misogynists, that is not the case for this petition.

Women’s soccer is better (less flopping; more obvious competition), but men’s soccer prompts better ratings and more discussion, for better or worse. That is why they get paid more.

To be fair, the commenter didn’t directly discuss the article. Maybe the commenter thought that the comments section of THIS article was a great place to take a stand. Either way, I have to agree with their sentiment.

I love how the Adequate Man site has turned into a way for people to air their grievances against men, under the guise of providing “advice.” Any site—curated by men—that offered advice for women would be openly mocked and likely out of business within the first few weeks.
