It was a nice touch that she was still essentially a mess when she's concocting Riley's injection.

I joke, but I thought about one thing— Jonas said that a cluster "takes its first breath as one". If they were already linked in the womb and need to all be born at once, I wonder if some of the labors came VERY SUDDENLY because the rest of cluster was being born. Specifically, Nomi's c-section might have

Final hopes for a Carnivalé resurgence are dashed.

I liked it. It was fair-to-middling most of the ride, but the ending worked really well for me.

Especially since the police (such as they are there) seem to be in Kabaka's pocket.

Yeah, it was, "bring us the daughter or we will kill your mother".

Well, my days of taking you seriously have certainly come to a Middleton.

I also loved Wolfgang's call out to Joaquin. "We aren't done."

Those are now standard options on the Birthing Plan.

Complete with Kate del Castillo, La Reina del Sur.

You highlight a lot of my issues when someone says a plot point or scene was "unnecessary". What they're really saying tends to be, "I didn't like this scene, but I want to phrase my opinion like it's an objective fact."

Yeah. I get the impression that, from Ylsa's point of view, an unawoken cluster is safer through ignorance. Even if one is discovered, they could never lead to the rest. Jonas seems to believe that birthing new clusters gives them strength, and a fighting chance.

This isn't spoilers. beyond pointing out some dangling points in S1 and saying, "Hmmm… what was that about?" But it's definitely a deliberate tease that I don't think someone would do unless he felt pretty good about S2.

Tonight JMS has been tweeting hints and questions for Season 2 (as in, plot points one should take note of), so I'm hoping he's doing that because He Knows Something.

There's also an Active/Passive dichotomy to Jonas and Ylsa. Jonas urges the sensates to act— pushing Will to save Nomi, reach out to each other. Yrsa wants them to hide, lay low. Stay out of trouble so BPO doesn't find them.

Do we know if they shot Berlin first, or Mexico City? Because I wonder if they added the line in MC because (light spoiler) Lito has only one flip-flop when he visits Wolfgang.

Yeah, because it's not like you're not sure if you have an actual gun in your home or not. I think he knew, but felt the need to play the drama. Because, you know, he's Lito.

(Light Spoiler)

"It takes more than a four-city psychic seven-way to excite me."
