it's impossible to understate how poorly this stuff reflects on the US to outsiders. a while ago I had someone from Kenya ask me about all the cop shootings going on back home, saying how horrible it is. you know things are bad when someone from Kenya shows you sympathy for shit happening in your home country.

For some people that’s all they need. I like a bit of both worlds tbh. I don’t need EVERYTHING, but some of the upgraded stuff is nice. I’m also content to not have the huge engine, but I can’t get behind a 4. For me, a v6 is a happy medium. Honestly, as long as the car makes you happy, who cares?

It's not just you. I bought a Sportage and I love it. Sure, when I knock on the dash it sounds like banging on a toy drum. So I said, "How about I stop knocking on the dash and enjoy the panoramic roof and cooled seats that just cost thousands less than anything else?"

I am REALLY liking Lexus’ new interiors. Sat in an RC at the recent Auto Show and everything looks VERY modern and contemporary without being cold or uninviting like a BMW’s interior, for example.

I’m not sure why BMW is a standard for interiors. They’re below average at the price point. The fact that you are actually comparing the 2 says much more positive about Kia than negative. Compare the interiors when the kia has at least $17k in the passenger seat.

It is ugly, has scratchy plastic, and is a Kia. Everything seems to be in working order.
