I had a childless great aunt die recently. Unbeknownst to the family, she had changed her will and left everything to one nephew who was the least financially stable. Everyone in the family understood and was okay with it, but he felt so guilty that he divided everything up anyway. I wish he hadn’t, but he was really

That whole shitshow is responsible for one of my favourite .gifs so far this year:

Oh bless your heart, you completely underestimate the true fundie’s ability to rationalize and deceive themselves.

I can confirm that Christians are buying his books. Alao, I have met many good Christians and they are in fact very intolerant, judgemental and shit don’t stinkish.

I like to say that Ben Carson is a fucking idiot, but he turned the nothing that’s in his head into a pretty decent slush fund for his buddies for most of the past year, and parlayed that grift into what I have to assume is a 6-figure job that will require almost no coherent thought from him at all.

Be assured that Carson will be back on TV in early 2017 with his own afternoon show, “Chick-fil-A Presents: Dr. Ben”: 90 minutes of sedately delivered sociopolitical nostrums, reassuring claptrap, and low-amp evangelical venom. You’ll sigh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to put your head in an oven.

Yes! Look up “environmental racism”. There is a lot of good writing out there on this problem, like the disproportionate share of minority populations living on EPA superfund sites. It is sad how this kind of stuff is pretty much never covered in the media so most people are woefully unaware of the social dimensions

I taught in Philly schools and a number of them have non-functioning water fountains due to the fact that is 2000, 57% of the schools had drinking water that tested above the EPA action level.

I have the worst overarching sense of anxiety.

“a slight moderate amongst raving, thieving fascist assholes”

Kasich “I’ll take it!”

“Ohio passed a Lead Poisoning Prevention Fund meant to battle the lead problem in old houses, it never provided any funding”

Shame on you, John Kasich, (for this and many other anti-women policies).

First, I hope that is the actual turn out for his ‘speech’. Second he does realize that their are hundreds of ‘faiths’ right? Sorry that was a silly question, there is only “My (his) Faith”. Third, Jesus would only show up at CPAC to toss tables and run these people out of town.

“Don’t think about the budget!” — Martha Stewart, millionaire.

“It’s gorgeous. I just think it’s a little rigid.”

It means they're contractually obligated to say his name at least every three sentences.

Yeah, at least there’s evidence to support the idea that Teddy Roosevelt was intellectually curious. And I suppose you could easily say that his IC factor was higher than, for example, Snooki.

Totally legit excuse in my opinion.

You’re right that it’s a wild assertion because it can’t really be measured, but even so, at least say since Teddy Roosevelt, since his “intellectual curiosity” from his childhood to later years is well documented (and he’s a Republican still).

Aww presidents, they procrastinate just like us!
