It's saying you can pay $60 on day one for a buggy, broken game, or pay $30 on day 100 for a version that runs beautifully, is patched, etc.

I love this soundtrack so much! Wish Rush Hour would get a streaming release :(
Could maybe use some honorable mentions.
Indeed, much like other products have labels like fair trade, cruelty free, environmentally friendly, etc. These things don’t tell a consumer anything about the product itself, but the way the product was made is also important to many people’s purchasing decisions.
I mostly agree, and of course this isn’t a review of anything. However, I do think an argument could be made that previous behaviour that affects customers is pertinent information?
I think it’s crucial to remember that here we’re specifically talking about people who were “fans” of a game they’d never played. Being a fan of something you’ve personally enjoyed is a very different territory (and can certainly lead some to go to odd places), but this wasn’t that.
This is all very scummy and worth writing about. I question whether a review of Cyberpunk 2077 is the right place to do it. People are looking for a review of the GAME, not the PUBLISHER.
I personally like review scores and find them useful for the same reason you gave. They provide a nice bird’s eye view of the general reception of a game. For me they function as a starting point to gauge if I then want to dig further into the details via the written portion of reviews.
Of course, the far bigger issue is that a loud proportion of Cyberpunk 2077 purchasers (and indeed any other big-name game) don’t want reviews at all. They want reassurance. They paid for this game nearly two years ago, for whatever illogical reason (“I’m supporting the massive multi-million dollar company!”),…
This was a great read. Thank you for it, and I’m sorry you are being harassed because you didn’t say Cyberpunk was the second coming of Jesus like everyone expected.

She is a national treasure.
I agree with you, but feel compelled to add that Brits dish out their patronizing takes on American politics and culture all the time. I did a lot of research throughout the UK and was constantly annoyed by the amount of hot takes re: American culture I was treated to. Two wrongs don’t make a right, though!
I’m Irish (dual like you) and none of what you said computes in my brain, sorry. No sympathy for the living symbols of imperialism here.
And these are the muthafuckas we're supposed to be extending an olive branch to?
“Especially when the president is going to prison.”
People shit talk her, but I've always liked Ann Hathaway. She's talented, gorgeous, and from this at least, seems to be a decent person.
I wouldn’t vote for a Libertarian or a Republican. Would’ve voted for Sanders had he won either primary.
*Sigh* You are an informed adult with real, researched concerns. Therefore, this, the Animal Crossing thing, these are not geared towards you. They’re geared to kid, teens, yoots, young adults who have not thought about politics before, or maybe don’t feel like that stuff outreaches to them. The people who can’t yet…
