I see where you’re coming from. I 100% agree that the third act (at least, from the point after Riddler is captured and Batman deduces his plan) doesn’t fit in with the tone and the stakes of what came before. But I don’t think just having the Joker in the movie makes the Riddler’s larger plot any less extraneous
