Capital G gamers: "Spam is good if the video game companies says its good!"

The weirdest part is trying to equate it in any way at all with the Chapelle thing. This is why people don’t take geeks seriously. Everything is life and death to some of us.

This is an understarred comment

“Remove from cart” * 200,000.

They designed one fucking game in a distant past and have been reskinning it for years.

My least favorite part of the Ubisoft formula is all the sexual harassment.

Feel like that’s kind of a big detail to leave out in a review. I’m assuming it was omitted b/c ppl are dubious of mobile-to-console ports? Did I miss it? I re-read the review and only saw how it pays homage to Octopath and BD2, which now makes less sense seeing how it predates both. Maybe it pays homage to Lost

Well it IS a reworked mobile game, Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey from 2015. Came out 3 years before Octopath too.  Zodiac was abandoned and incomplete, while Astria has been reworked, more content added, and the story has been changed

“Think of the jobs” isn’t really an argument, because by that logic it’s unethical to not buy every game.

Bruh

🤔

Awesome, a studio that has never done an action game and is famous for its writing, which sucks. And had a big workplace harassment scandal a few years back. Why the fuck would you let them take this property on?

“Don’t punish the devs” is a poor excuse since we make the choice NOT to buy THOUSANDS of games a year, and opting not to support a publisher with a history of heinous abuse shouldn’t be like navigating a minefield. There are THOUSANDS of good games out there that are also worth your time and interest that aren’t

I really have a problem with this line of thinking because it’s almost rationalizing toxic abuse as “just a side affect of supporting developers!” And I think, in a way, that’s gross.

I can’t seem to find a clip of Steve Martin introducing him as “Stingy” on SNL, but I still always read Sting’s name in that voice/pronunciation.

Another article from someone who does know who Heritage are. Even now the media keep spreading their free advertisments for them only making the problem worse.

Now playing

The comic, which includes the first appearance of Marvel Comics’ most popular (and lucrative) superhero Spider-Man, was bought for a cool $3.6 mil earlier this morning at a Heritage Auctions.

Maneater is now one less game on my ever-growing backlog/wishlist. Thanks for lightening my load, John!

Awesome! I love when people with shitty attitudes open their mouths and make it easy for me to know not to support their business!

the point is normalizing the $69.99 price point. nothing else than “we want an extra $10 from you chucklefucks to line our CEO/Shareholder’s pockets, we know you will pay it, and we know some of you will even DEFEND it saying it will trickle down to our abused and ununionized staff.”
