the back is nice. The 80s still had that old Toyota 4x4 feel just with some extra chub.

odd thing that with the introduction of the 100 series LC and than the 4Runner even those 2nd gen Ra44s were looking really nice and the cars like dog shit. Now, the Camry looks good, the Corolla classier but the trucks are now dog shit. Pretty soon if this keeps happening, Hyundai will stop copying their vehicles.

maybe, at that time people just really kept their eyes on the road and didn't look at the gauge cluster for any reason? Or, as we age we start losing our hearing and this was a solution for older drivers who could no longer hear the clicks of the signals and this was a visual q that the signals were in use.

I seen a lot of these in NYC especially the natural gas versions. Better than the big Super Duty conversions because they are smaller and easier to maneuver on side streets. Plus, their is a ton of wasted space in those big cabs. I thought these were the future but I was wrong, I guess.

I liked this car when it was introduced and still do. To me, it was a great grand tour-er. Something that you could drive from Scotland to Spain and back comfortably without drawing a huge amount of attention to yourself. One of these in black was really was a stealth bomber.
