As an Acura/VW salesman back in the early 90’s, I sold a few of these. The “type 2” engines were absolutely sublime and it was the first time I ever saw a telescopic and power tilt wheel in a Japanese vehicle. They were extremely quiet and although not a rocket, very nice.

The car is beautiful. The girl, not so much.

Any 80’s K-Car would have done fine.
