Haha yeah. I never play games at these things. Maybe if I know someone on the team and I can play in the private rooms. Plus those rooms are lifesavers. Airconditioned, quiet, free food and drink. Actually gutted I didn't go to GC this year thinking about it.

I always forget what day the public is open on, or even if GC has public days. I'm generally only there for the first day and take interviews+meetings at my hotel or nearby restaurants. Love the food there.

No, not at all. I'm a developer too and I've used flash before (going back about 5 years). I added controller support. Eventually I ported my game to a real language to nail out all issues I had with Flash. I know other devs did that too (VVVVVV for example). Why these don't is beyond me.
