Governmen is cushy! At least where I live. Nice pension, nice perks, get paid time off for "stress", wife is pregnant= no worries take a paid year off to help her. Never had anything like that in AAA. I think a lot of the "cool practices" have risen up from indie.

Nnon-indie stuff is so awful, I could never go back. Though I'm not in indie any more either, ha. But indie was so much nicer and the rewards so much greater. For me at least. Earning my old wage 9 times over for one little game I released by myself was great and very liberating.
