I find it hilarious that people try to discount Durant being on the Warriors as if it’s somehow illegitimate. So the Lakers can add GP and Malone (and still lose), the Celtics can add KG and Jesus, the Heat can add LBJ and Bosh, but the Warriors add KD and it’s asterisk time?

The average Warriors fan will probably be able to shrug it off if the team gets their revenge by sweeping these playoffs and planting Lebron in the Earth’s mantle.

Marijuana wasn’t the only thing in the Cavs locker room that got smoked.

It’s funny, because all folks did last year after GSW’s 73-9 run was say, “The only thing that matters is the championship.” Record-breaking 73 wins? Doesn’t matter. Longest win streak of any major american sport? Worthless. Kevin Durant as one of the greatest scorers of all time? Meaningless.

To an extent I agree, and I was one of the many people who piled on when KD elected to go there (I had all but convinced myself a KD-to-DC move was very possible, and I’m a Bullets fan). Having said that, the fact he joined an already established All-Star-filled team notwithstanding for a moment, KD’s played arguably

I may be in the minority but I’ve loved watching these playoffs because of the level of excellence we’ve seen from GS and Lebron. I realize the competitive nature has been sucked out of a lot of these games, but as a baskeball nerd, I’d still rather watch one sided beautiful basketball than very competitive

Why was Durant obligated to stay in OKC and keep pissing in the wind alongside Angry Russ? The front office traded them out of a potential mini-dynasty when they traded Harden, then they followed that up by shipping Ibaka out for Oladipo. The Thunder might have won 50-55 if Durant stayed, but they weren’t going to

I think the starting point is: What do you think happened last year?

Is there a reason why the Warriors’ current destruction of the Cavs is somehow more boring and more detrimental to the health of the league than LeBron’s 7-year dominance of the East has been? Because I don’t remember seeing similar articles when he was chewing up the Raptors and Celtics.

“I turned last night’s Game 2 of the Finals off before the end of the third quarter. It was boring.”

God damn all of you are salty as hell. Ever since the Deadspin collective sans Draper decided to shit on the Warriors every opportunity you got about a year and a half ago you’ve been spinning everything to let the hatred flow. Now 2015 was on the back of Cleveland’s injuries. 2016 was because the Cavaliers were just

But the thing is, if you’re not a Golden State Warriors fan—or, hell, even if you are one—and you claim that the blowout part of last night’s game held your attention as closely as the first half did, you’re lying.

This is fantastic kinja.

Not pictured: LaVar Bear, in the background yelling at Lonzo Bear, LiAngelo Bear and LaMelo Bear. “Where are your damned shoes?!?”

I think Cleveland not only has to pass the ball, but also catch it

It looked like there was a point in the first half where the Cavs refused to acknowledge KD because he wasn’t part of the last 2 Finals, so he wasn’t a real person.

So far the worst thing about this season is everyone falling over themselves to show how sophisticated they are by complaining about it. The basketball itself has been entertaining as ever.
