China nukes us, at minimum their economy goes with us. At worst, we fire back and both nations are destroyed. That’s why China doesn’t threaten us with nukes; they have too much to lose, and the Chinese leadership are not as suicidal as Putin.

Also helps on the oil pipeline. Piss China off enough, they’ll likely cut their exports of certain rare earth materials. Materials that certain pieces of computer and alternative energy technology rely on. Send the price of things like solar panels straight into Neptunian orbit. Suddenly, that pipeline starts to look…

He displayed arrogance, stupidity, and failure to understand geopolitics the entire time he campaigned. This is precisely what I imagined him doing in office because, frankly, it fits his character and would be a nice way to upset people needlessly.

Why go ballistic? China nukes us, their economy goes with us. They’re too economically tied into us to fire off nukes.
