Funnily enough, I hated that monologue too, but I watched the ep with my wife- she does some writing and did English major in the UK- and she found it moving and powerful. I just assumed there must have been something in it I did not get…

Alexandra Daddario was the pinnacle of the show ;) a directorial stroke of genius. I am sucker for "dorm-room" philosophizing, therefore loved the writing. Different opinions are more than fine.
They have even managed to take from The Big Lebowski… and I was pleasantly surprised.
But agree with you, it is all borrowed.
This is ridiculous.
They can't be more opposite shows. Fargo is not an original show, it is a tribute. TD is the product of an auteur.
Sorry, but The King of Limbs was insanely good. A killer album.
The show wouldn't exist without the writing. Remember that thing called "a script"? It was phenomenal in S1.
There was plenty of directorial talent on TD2, but it lacked a more unified vision as season 1. This is usually not a big problem in most shows. No one in their right mind would consider Pizzolato bad writer after watching S1. People forget how special and unique that show was.
I do not think this can be classified as "news". I would love to see TD3 happen, and where it goes to.
The nukes did not change the outcome of WW2, that was decided in Europe. These so called borders are very diffuse and change all the time. Hundreds of Isis sympathizers (including a lot of Muslim converts) were born and live in Europe.
What do you do with the spread of Isis groups in other regions? Bomb Iraq (again)?
Has anything to do with the middle east in the last 20 years been solved by "carpet bombing"?
