John Mulaney Thrills 99% Of Crowd With Greatest Comedian Of Last Decade As Warm-Up Act Instead of Local Nobody.

I am confident that the overwhelming majority of the crowd did not mind or were happy to see Dave Chappelle open up.

Imagine working at avclub and seeing this. “the people aren’t reacting how we’re telling them to, they don’t care about what we’re telling them we have to care about! How do we force our narrative now!!???”.

Mulaney is a hero for this. 

It’s always amusing to me that 1st Amendment people always fixate on the “I can say whatever I want” part of the right and never all the other parts of it.

Wow, that’s what you call a great bonus for the audience’s price of admission; wish I was there to see it.

When everything is a controversial act, slowly everyone gets numb and stops caring. None of the blogger/social media activist approved comedians could fill a quarter of the Hollywood Bowl’s capacity, and Dave Chappelle does it on multiple nights.

Imagine the horror of a world without your cancel culture nonsense. All those people who like both Mulaney and Chappelle forced to be happy as a result of a fun surprise while haters had to feel for 15 minutes as though their specific political opinions were not being catered to.
