I go almost every month. Disney is taking this VERY seriously.

I don’t understand why people are freaking out about this.

Thanks for assuming you know me because I attempted to express something on the internet, and apparently did a lousy job. My entire point is that noone would have noticed if it was a white girl, and that it would be pretty great if we could get to the point where people just saw a kid in a shirt, rather than racism. I

To be fair I don’t believe they choose the thumbnail for the video, that’d be the uploader.

You realize that many of the women who were there tonight wearing black are, in fact, themselves survivors of sexual abuse, right (see: Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Ashley Judd, Salma Hayek, etc.)? Rose McGowan isn’t the only victim out there and not everyone who was there is an “ally,” but themselves victims trying to

“not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger”

Weinstein wasn’t harassing Oprah, and do you really think his victims were coming to her to reveal what he’d done? You think he’d behave this way on front of Oprah?

“Indecent to expose their ankles”? Have you been to Lebanon? Syria? Iraq? Palestine? Egypt? Tunisia? Morocco? Yes, many dress conservatively, many wear hijab, and many do not. “Entire society” is sex-segregated? What the hell does that even mean?

This is the last thing she needs. Rose needs to take a step back because it seems like she’s misplacing blame everywhere. I had to unfollower her after her rant tonight. I get it, #metoo, but attacking allies isn’t helping.

Him resigning in disgrace doesn’t change that he was a good politician.

Al Franken was a celebrity with no experience and very good politician. I believe intelligent, inspired, involved people are who we need. They can learn the protocols of the office.

Oh dear, well that’s it I suppose. Everything she said is null and void! The women deserved it, nothing will change, and the real villain is Oprah and not the men committing the acts! Shut it down folks.

“ we found out the reason he was bullied that day was because he called his classmates the n-word”

Shh. Don’t bring reality in to this. We all have to complain that the NFL is evil and say we will never watch it again while continuing to watch every second of every game. And call the Patriots cheaters every time one of their players coughs.

“It’s funny to hear a female write about concussions.”

“First, no one has the time and resources to rescue trolls”

On the grand scheme of things, a nasty word used on Twitter isn’t really that big of a deal. Get a grip.

we should also respect the decisions of women who choose to stare down this nastiness with compassion. There’s nothing wrong with what she did.

With you here. How about: life, happiness, longevity, success and other good things are not guaranteed to us. But if we are good to each other - open, empathetic, merciful, forgiving - we increase our odds of those good things.

Well that seems like a reasonable comparison.
