Alice Krige, so creepy and hot. One of the great horror actresses, though it doesn’t feel right to call her a “scream queen.” She more inspires others to scream

Some of my favorite contemporary pairings not mentioned in this piece:
“Blazing Saddles got away with some stuff that’s problematic by today’s standards.”
Chris Evans is huge star, and Tim Allen isn’t anymore.
C’mon, you could have teased a whole lot of what makes the first two episodes interesting and unpredictable without fully detailing the whos and whats. I know that’s getting to be the house MO for reviews but isn’t the idea to make people want to watch a show that you favorably review? Knowing all about these…
Her crackerjack comedic timing?
I try not to complain about overexposed starlets, because it usually ends up a way to indulge in petty sexism, but...why Cara Delavigne. To what end.
When they are at the kid’s birthday party in episode 4 was when I decided I would definetly finish the show, that was hysterical. I am also such a fan of a TV season having an actual ending instead of a cliffhanger!
None of that makes any sense to the vast majority who don’t live in Illinois. I’m here for a workplace drama, not weird territorial nonsense.
She needs to stop going along with her idiot husbands ideas because she loves him. He’s a talentless hack and only she can’t see it. If you take everything bad she’s been in and everything good she’s made, there is a VERY strong idiot husband correlation.
He’s not, but a poll of Hispanic people found the term had a skyhigh approval of…. 4%! It’s only used by patronizing white academics who think Hispanics should adopt it … because reasons (and probably don’t know any actual Hispanics) https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/08/05/us/latinx-gallup-poll-preference-trnd/index.html
The word “Latinx” appears three times in this review, which is three times more than any Hispanic person has ever used that term.
I know you don’t do the headlines, but Latinx sounds like the adult parody of this movie. Is there something inappropriate about “Latin,” a word that already exists and is widely used?
I .. am calm? Now you’re going to make up how I’m feeling and act like that’s a fact? What’s with y’all making up so many lies about people you don’t know on the internet?
They had to edit the audio because the Virginia trial didn’t allow any audio that had voices of people who could not testify.
Wonder how the judge will react to her doing exactly what the jury in her case found to be defamation, again, before the case is even settled. You know, jez there’s a 50/50 chance that Johnny is the the one telling the truth and the dogged holding on to the idea that a woman can’t lie is getting to be misogynistic…
You’re right. A pop culture writer should only be familiar with things that happened in pop culture that they were personally around to witness. Obviously they shouldn’t be familiar with common pop culture history or anything, and certainly not commonly known history of the literal person they’re writing about.
Is Johnny Depp really “inexplicably beloved”? Inexplicably? A pop culture writer really can’t put her finger on a bunch of reasons why Johnny Depp, super sexy and charismatic star of 21 Jump Street and countless other projects, might be beloved? I’m not even saying he’s not a shithead. Of course he is. But if why…
You’ve got to wonder if Gilliam (and John Cleese) realize the irony in them becoming exactly the kind of old people that Monty Python mocked all the time.
