George Piocosta. He was also in the episode, Meadowlands, when AJ got into a fight with his son, Jeremy Piocosta, and George made Jeremy apologize to AJ and give him money when he thought Tony was threatening him at Fountains of Wayne. Jeremy must be on the football team with AJ.

I think AJ's problem is that he was born into a family where different sorts of expectations pull on him but he doesn't fit neatly into any, so he's left adrift. He's not going to be the achieving son his parents want him to be, or part of the criminal gang whose influence he certainly consistently senses in his life.

I love when he says, "I can't be seen in a place like this anymore" after the incident at the pizzeria.

Great inventory. I'd been a bit worried about this feature because many of the recent ones were lists that weren't really conducive to discussion (at least that I was interested in).

okay, let's talk Skyline
I'll always be partial to New York's skyline because I'm from there and because there's so much of it. Chicago's is certainly pretty impressive too. LA doesn't have much of one. I like San Francisco's and Seattle's for the West Coast.
Internationally tho, it's hard to beat Hong Kong's.

Nutso
I can't tell if his persecution complex is better or worse than Randy Quaid's.

He wrote it almost a year ago
so last veterans day.

Raising Hope
um, I know it's sacrilege around here to say this, and I love Arrested Development as much as the rest of you but the fact is that Raising Hope is a better show than Running Wilde.

Score vs Soundtrack
I wish there had been a distinction made between film scores and soundtracks in this Q&A because they are both rich sources of discussion on their own.
I'm a big fan of Carter Burwell's scores. He's done many of the Coen bros. movies, like Fargo, Miller's Crossing, and Burn After Reading. (and

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this movie has such a loyal cult following of people who can quote it as well as I can. Growing up, it always seemed like something I had stumbled upon that nobody else was really that aware of.

Monkey's brains, though popular in Cantonese cuisine, are not often to be found in Washington, D.C

I've definitely watched this movie more times than I can count. It used to be my favorite as a kid and I had the whole script memorized. My brother and I would take turns playing the different characters.

But more importantly
can Call of Duty: Black Ops be called Art?

Meadow
While I do like Meadow's progressing disillusionment with her family as this season goes on, can't say I'm a fan of the Meadow in college storyline. Noah and Caitlin are both such grating characters. It's a good thing, Jackie Jr. enters her life.

At least she didn't suffer
Good writeup, Todd, but while the somber supernatural elements are definitely there around the edges, the overall tone of this episode strikes me as highly comedic, and it's one of my favorites because of that.
Case in point:

Won't somebody
Please think of the Children?!?!

I put ice cubes in my drinks when I want them to be cold.

I think the makers of the sequel to Half Nelson are going to need to come up with a different title for the sequel. Half Nelsons, perhaps?

What about Travis Bickle?

200 Cigarettes
Wasn't this movie made already? I think Christina Ricci was in it.
