pretty sure Alex was buried by Ben before Smokey took her form.

Smokey takes the form of dead people and perhaps Walt
So Sayid sort of died and Claire sort of died, and Smokey claimed both of them. He also, in my recollection, has only ever taken the form of people we know have died, like Eko's brother, Christian (maybe), Ben's daughter Alex, Ben's mom and Locke. Perhaps this is

The vitriol towards this episode seems excessive to me, even for a Kate episode. It certainly was a middling one, but it was a necessary episode and I think Lost fans take episodes like this for granted. I mean there was some great stuff to ponder in this one.
We're getting new information about the sickness and what

Kelly McGiddish
good to see her doing stuff again since her heyday in Top Gun

one thing about Transformers II
I couldn't believe how boring it was. I couldn't finish this movie. And I'm a young guy in my 20s who likes robots and seeing stuff blown up and destroyed, but holy shit did that get old real fast.
Also, the plot was damn near incomprehensible. I shut it off after 1.5 hours.

eh, I didn't read Kate's escape from the temple really as a pursuit of Sawyer so much as running away because she's invested in finding Claire. It's why she came to the island. She figures Sawyer can help her with that. Plus, he's a friend and she wanted to make sure he was alright. It didn't really strike me as a

He was still giving weird looks once Sayid came to.

I'm pretty sure Claire was already sick by the time she showed up with Christian in the Cabin. Something happened btw the time she wandered off into the woods with him and when Locke sees her in the cabin.
I don't think she was put in the magical spring like Sayid, but was perhaps led to the outer part of the temple

Miles
I think Mile's powers extend beyond just being able to listen to dead people. He gave Sayid all sorts of weird looks this week and last week as if he wasn't sure what to make of him.
He gave the same sorts of looks to Claire right before she disappeared.
Also both Sayid and Claire were both nearly dead or not

False
You promised us hats Nabin! There is no Peter Bogdanovich in a hat after that link.

I agree, this was actually my favorite episode of the season thus far. I really liked how Bill winning the nomination at the end played like a tragic story beat. Clearly it's going to continue tearing the family apart.
It doesn't surprise me that such a Bill heavy episode would rank low for Amelie, whose distaste for

Simpsons
Actually the Simpsons cast don't record all together. They do a big table read, and individual cast members will sometimes record with whatever celebrity voice is on that week, but for the most part, they do it solo. They talk about it on some of the commentaries in the dvds that have been released.

Scene around the table
I really like that scene around the table when they are all eyeing each other. So much said without a word. I especially liked Britta and Annie. Is it just me or did the camera linger on Jeff and Annie much longer than the rest? A hint of things to come?

Rewatching and I just noticed
Kate takes Jack's pen when she bumps into him on the plane. This is why he doesn't have it later and she does in the bathroom when she tries to get out of handcuffs.

Well I think that there has both been time-traveling and timeline-traveling. When Juliet and Desmond are exposed to the electromagnetism burst from the Swan site, they timeline travel but that is the only time this happens. That would make sense as both happen in the same general area and both have to do with a burst

something else in keeping with the whole "Healies/people who have been touched by the spring can't kill each other" idea - In The Shape of Things to Come, Ben and Widmore have that discussion where they both acknowledge that they can't kill each other. After Alex is killed, Ben says "you broke the rules" because Alex

The Incident and the Timelines
So here's my theory - The incident happens when Juliet sets off the bomb of course and that's where the two timelines diverge (We know that Dharma existed in the new timeline because we see their barracks underwater in the alterna-timeline). What I'm interested in figuring out is what

Richard and the healing island
So I guess we know why he seemingly lives forever. A bath in that regenerative eternal spring probably keeps him and all of the Others fit. Though the island as a whole is important as a place that heals (well, generally), a good portion of that healing power seems to be concentrated in

What is it that Ilana says when she says the broken ash? Something like "Someone else has been using it?"

Short answer yes with an "if", Long answer no with a "but" -
