I'm pretty sure the images are cgi: computer generated images. Just look at the picture of the butterfly; it's definitely been computer enhanced (based on actual photographs). The eyes are made of too perfect hexagons; everything is too neat.

Hmm, I was impressed until they mentioned that they used computers to interpolate the data, ie it's cgi not the real thing.

FF has been decline ever since Tetsuya Nomura took over... I'm sure he's a talented guy, but maybe the wrong man for the job. Too much focus on the visual aspect to the detriment of gameplay. Time to bring in some new blood?
