As someone who lives outside of the US tipping “culture” is ridiculously stupid. Your take home pay shouldn’t be dependent on the good will of strangers. And considering it’s got to the point that self service checkouts are asking for 15%, 18%, 20% tips you got to admit it’s gotten ridiculous too.

Speaking as someone outside of the US tipping shouldn’t be expected.

Problem is the EPA is also to blame about trucks getting so big. It penalises trucks with a smaller footprint. So if sold today a small truck like an 88 Datsun 1200 would be needing to hit 47 MPG while a truck the size of a 22 Ford Maverick only needs 37 MPG.
