I’ve found it generally true that when an opinion or assumption or whatever else becomes a deeply held belief, people will go to great lengths to defend it. They will double- and redouble-down harder and harder with each piece of contradicting evidence rather than let it go. It is inherently irrational, though I

There’s always exceptions! D:

2 pretty much had everything going for it. Highly enjoyable level design, fun to use weapons (METAL BLADE!), great boss designs, well-refined gameplay, and some of the most memorable music on the NES. It really took all the best things that worked about the original game and improved them, while trimming what didn’t.

No. Why? Because the NES was a discreet, purpose-built hardware system. The NES is defined by its hardware.

Huh. It sounds to me like the man should have been a storyboard artist, not a manga illustrator, just based on your description.

After many years I’ve finally achieved a 99% or so success rate of replacing the word “god” with “gosh” in casual speech. I do it without even thinking about it, which pleases me. Occasionally I’ll do “goodness”, and rarely I’ll sneak in something like “ye gods” if I’m feeling particularly silly. I was never actually

Ok, THAT I’m surprised by. Those seem a bit advanced for 1st grade. Especially “costume”.

Am I missing something? It’s been a long time since 2nd grade, but those seem like appropriate spelling words for the grade level to me. Especially early in the school year.

Generic Roiland Voice #3 for me.

I saw an interview that said they’re going to have a time jump between seasons to account for that very problem. They just have to make sure to get all their prinicple photography done before any of the kids change noticeably. It can happen so fast! The same article mentioned that they couldn’t do any dialog

And this is why it’s helpful to include a clear indicator of the individual’s original biological sex in stories like this. It is frequently just plain difficult to tell exactly what is being talked about, since you can’t always tell what standard is being adhered to in reference to an individual’s gender and

Gonna throw in a suggestion... 12 Monkeys. Ends on a perfect note for you to take with you as you sit down next to a stranger on your flight.

I’m a graphic designer myself and the similarities jump out at me, though they are obviously non-identical. Think of it this way: if you squint, can you easily tell them apart? If it fails the squint test, then you have an issue.

The burden for trademark infringements is not “identical”. It’s “confusingly similar”. This is very arguably such, especially given it is the same category of products.

Definitely also automatically put “Dr. Orchid” and “man” in the headline together, and briefly assumed it was a new male character. Can’t deny there was probably some unfortunate ingrained gender bias in there too. Upon further reflection, I think it’s unfortunate that they’ve chosen to replace a specifically female

I can attest to the truth of the article, personally. Most specifically, I remember when I lived with someone years ago, and we would go grocery shopping. There was always arguments about whether we should buy the bulk items and save several dollars in the long run, or the smallest package and thus spend the least

I am just posting to say that I saw the photo for this article in the list of headlines and, just for a moment, thought it was Max Headroom.

I recall having essentially unsupervised, unrestricted access to Saturday morning fare for a good while, until one day my mom caught me and my little brother watching PeeWee’s Playhouse. She very quickly decided she Did Not Approve and thereafter because much more invested in monitoring what we watched. Not

Rickon totally should have done the zig zag, BUT...

Mm. Rather like the design, but the face is weird, and the pose seems awkward. But I know better than to fly off the handle over a single early promo shot. Transformers Animated looked AWFUL in it’s first promo images, and it’s one of the best TF shows they’ve done.
