Also, re journalism, in WHAT universe is "$37,090" a dismal yearly income? The rom-com 'verse, i guess.

A friend of mine actually IS a baker who specializes in novelty cakes. She's married, tho.
Or her hair - "real color mousy blonde" or something like that.
Mmm…maybe. But he's patronizing to MOST people, most times. I still see her character as being more fleshed out, regardless how Sherlock treats her. I'm biased tho, I've always liked her.
There's more to it than that. He talks to her more respectfully now - due to her assistance in helping him fake his death, she's now more than just someone with a crush in him, she's someone he can trust & rely on. Also, I've seen the other episodes; see what you think after episodes 2 & 3.
Molly's portrayal gets a makeover in S3. I enjoyed it a lot.
Honestly, I thought the reason for Watson being portrayed as a woman was because wanted to maintain the typical male/female dynamic the US usually has in shows - like Bones (& see where THAT wound up!) But if they genuinely keep the relationship between the two main characters from becoming sexual & have it being one…
Yes, I was a bit disappointed about that - although she was apparently acting independently UNTIL she was contacted by Moriarty. And that last bit about her rescue was completely unnecessary. I would have preferred to imagine her on the run, using her wits to survive WITHOUT a man popping up at the last second to…
Just going by a broad statistical sampling.
OF COURSE the show appeals to women! Also, I don't watch Who myself, but the biggest fans I personally know are also women. I just don't get what's to hate about Moffat & Gatiss - I LIKE a show that can combine drama & fun (although they can dance on the edge of twee here & there). That said, I've been meaning to…
Disclaimer: The opinions of Phil K are NOT necessarily those of the vast majority of Sherlock fans!
Mmm…I stopped watching after the first 2 seasons. Either I lost interest, or was watching something else, I forget. I suppose I can always binge-watch on Netflix to see what I missed.
Honestly, I think the choice to have Adler show up naked when first meeting Holmes was to reduce the number of items he could make deductions from. In scenes where he looks a person over, he makes determinations based on clothing, shoes, pet hairs, etc. I noticed the only significant conclusions he was to deduce…
House WAS Sherlock. Do a google check.
From what I've heard so far, lacking a Mission Statement from Lorre himself, I am harboring a secret hope that it might turn into something like All In The Family, if they tighten the focus to the home interactions. Anna Farris is very likeable, & I LOVE Allison Janney.
My husband (Mr. Liberal, Cultured, Book-loving TV-Avoider) watched a few episodes of Two And A Half Men over my shoulder (I didn't watch it regularly, but it's the sort of show that, if you have nothing else happening, is an ok waste of half-an-hour). He laughed & said it was sort of a throwback, a half hour of jokes…
The great thing about SYTYCD is that everyone involved loves dancing. And I never hear about the contestants, from any season, cutting each other or being mean. It's one big sloppy love fest, & it's WONDERFUL. Even the annoying bits are like the annoying things about the members of a big happy family. Honestly the…
