Having a few low-maintenance, desirable cars could make you more than ‘a couple hundred bucks on the weekend’. If you had like 4-5 cars and they averaged only one rental day a week you’re talking about $4-5K/month in added income. Yeah, it’d be work but it’s not out of the question.

My uncle raced Baja Bugs in the 1000 back in the 70s. Many of his old teammates are getting together to celebrate the 50th and run an old Bug again. I can’t wait to hear the stories of guys past retirement age doing it all over again.

My ‘61 Thunderbird has a bright white dashboard. While I love the look of the white interior on the dark car, I have to wear polarized sunglasses in it when driving. I have a couple pairs of shades I absolutely love but they can’t be used in that car because of the glare. I had the same issue in my 2013 Abarth. The

This grill from a late 50's Nash:

I’m lucky in that I get to spend time around lots of different cars from Classics to modern supercars. It helps that my wife is an automotive artist and I take reference photos for her work. Often I’ll get pics of an interesting car at a show and only later do I get down to identifying it. This evening it was figuring

The grill is not from a Nash. The Nash grill was punched from flat stock. This grill obviously has depth to it like waffle grating walkways.

If you can wedge the lid open like mine got stuck you can reach the bolts at the end of the large hydraulic rams..Once those two bolts are removed you can operate almost the whole top manually. If the decklid won’t open at all you can reach the locking pins from inside the wheel wells with a socket and extension.

When it works, it’s a marvel of mid-century mechanical engineering. When it doesn’t, well, you get my story.

I wanted to get over to Williams. Next time.

I’ve got two Williams hats signed by Massa. He also was cool and signed my dashboard. He had his game face on as he qualified 4th that year but still was pretty friendly. Also, I was wearing one of my Williams hats at Goodwood last year and Claire Williams commented on it when we stopped by their paddock. When I

The car is older than me, not by much, but it is. I’ve loved the Bullet Birds since childhood. I got a chance to pick this one up pretty cheap and jumped on it. The body was good. I restored the engine, drive train, electrics, and interior to make what I have now. Still needs more work but it’s a really good

I very rarely drive it at night so it’s one of the last things on my list to upgrade. It’s on the whiteboard in the garage to move to up-rated halogens.

Ok, I’ve got a good convertible story. It didn’t stop me from driving my beloved ‘verts but I did question my loyalty for a bit.

_The Mythical Man Month_ should be required reading for management. And they should be tested on it. Yearly. Yeah, it’s pretty damn old but most of its points are still 100% applicable to this day.

Oh, it’s optional. Do it, or leave. I’d choose the latter every single time. Work is _not_ life. No matter what some rich CEO thinks.

Boring. Boring is happening in this video.

I’m kinda okay with LMP dying. LeMans can go back to suped-up production cars like it started out.

And at 21:42 and 23:40. I won’t tell you how it ends.

Justin Wilson two years ago in Indy Cars is the most recent I can think of.

That is not a Desert Eagle. It’s most definitely a revolver. There’s no such thing as a ‘Desert Eagle revolver’. Hard to tell from the potato cam but maybe a .44? Doesn’t really kick like a .44 though. Long barreled .38 maybe?
