I had the honor of driving him around in the parade before the USGP in 2014. He was very chill and we chatted a bit during the lap. Cool guy in person. I’ll miss seeing him out there. Sadly, I couldn’t get him to trade his Felipe Massa Signature watch for my car.

Checked my local Craigslist. The cheapest diesel out of a couple dozen was $12.5k. Maybe Texans value them higher or something. It’s kind of odd actually.

But the Excursion was discontinued over 10 years ago. I can still go to a lot and buy a brand new Suburban today. I’ve got a 2014 and love it.

Did my own math. Between 2:11-2:12 he passes just over 3 lines. Make it 100 feet traveled in one second. Wolfram Alpha says that’s 68.18 MPH. The OP’s 70MPH guess was pretty spot on.

Road stripes are a standard length. IIRC they are 15 feet long with a 35 foot gap. I could be wrong but it’s pretty universal in the US. Count those and you’ve got your top speed.

Or PS4 or PC. It’s on all three platforms. No reason to buy an Xbone unless you have no other machine capable of playing it.

The interior rattling as he cruises slowly down that road would drive me batty. For the kind of money they charge that thing better be rock solid.

The lady had a choice in the matter. She could have not driven into the flood waters. The poor dog was along for the ride and placed his trust in the human to make sure he was safe.

It seems like less and less cars come equipped with this safety gear these days. I believe they prefer to leave out that option and rely on the other safety systems to save their stupid ass.

Yep. ‘61-’63 were awesome years for T-Birds. I love mine.

Home now so able to get closeup of my own in the garage. :) It awaits a new starter after the old one died just after a parade last weekend. In the future I’d like to lose the low mounted keyhole as it breaks up the lines of the side of the car a bit in my opinion.

What class is one built into the chrome trim like on my ‘61 Thunderbird? I guess it’s a Class 3. It never fails to gets lots of comments from people that notice that little design detail at car shows.

One of the local shows that’s held in a small town relegates all the late model cars to their own parking lots. So there’s a Corvette street, Mustang lot, Charger/Challenger lot, and Camaro cul-de-sac. They all get to stay in their lots looking at their identical 2015 stock whatevers and, I imagine, speaking like the

I did something close to this 4-5 years ago. I was short on flight legs coming up on the end of the year. I needed 7 more before the end of the month to keep my Executive Platinum status and all those free First Class upgrades, priority boarding, and Admirals Club access. So I took a day off and flew this route

One is in my garage. :)

My son works in the tire department at Costco and that was the very first question that asked him before moving him into that department. “Can you drive a manual?”
He smiled and said “Of course. Since I was 8 years old.”

Needs more periscope.

Stretch the nose out on a Lamborghini Urraco and you’d have twins.

One of those rare moments of clarity hit me many years ago, sometime in the early 90s.

When a dude-bro goes on a forum and tells of the sick street race he had against some other supposedly faster car and beat them. “Guys! My clapped out Civic with a fart-cannon totally killed that Lambo.”
Most of the time my assumption is they car they ‘killed’ didn’t even know there was a race on and was just driving
