Glad to help. I’ve got it bookmarked and check in weekly. One of these days I’m gonna do it and buy something small and stupidly fun.

I was thinking more like a turboed ‘Busa swap. 250-300ish HP in a car weighing like 1300lbs would be amazing. Kind of like this Smart.
I’ve noticed that on a lot of them. I assume at a sub-$2K price point they would have issues like that.
Sorry about that. ;)
They are now over 25 years old and importable. They are also pretty damn cheap. It takes a lot of self control to not bring one over to the States. I just get paranoid about parts availability.
My ‘91 GDE is now officially over 25 years old and still going strong.
I’m not above slapping ugly stickers on my car for money. Send me stickers wrapped in money and I’ll plaster on everything I drive.
I’ve got tix for the FoS in June. We hope to see beasts just like this in person. Can’t wait. It’s even a tax write-off for my wife as it’s work related. :)
I’ve already got tix for the Festival of Speed in June. Point these scumbags out while I’m there. I’ll happily remove the ‘family jewels’ of the bastards that did this to one of the great gearheads of the Earth. Who’s with me?
Also, those fines will surely come right out of the execs’ own pockets, right? Right?
If you believe that you probably also believe that any time a company is fined that the cost is never passed on to consumers.
I don’t understand how they think economics work.
1961 Thunderbird. My pride and joy. The model is commonly called the Bullet Bird.
Like my classic, I think it’s cheating. Now if you’d chromed the entire cage it’d wrap all the way back around to awesome a second time.
Nope. Those are definitely wheels with a small cap covering the lugs.
I assume you mean late model cars only. I feel classic cars are cheating. Most would look wrong without chrome.;)
Felipe Massa and Marcus Ericsson.
I just wish I could disable the button completely. In our Golf R, when I’m driving it hard in the corners, my palm is constantly grazing that damned button.
I thought to myself “It’s nice to know I’ve been doing it right all these years.” :)
I think my wife met and talked to these folks at a CotA track day last year while taking reference photos to paint. I wanna say they were driving a Viper that day she took a bunch of photos of. Very nice, down to earth folks.
She’s just finished it and it goes to the airport on Tuesday. She has a couple other people asking for prints. When it is rotated out in 3 months she’ll be having it scanned. Email her on her website and she’ll make sure you get notified when prints are available. shanfannin.com
She’s honored. If you email her at her website she’ll probably be able to send you one with just a single small watermark in the corner. shanfannin.com
