I love my RRC. At one time I had the RRC, a D-90, and two Series IIAs in my driveway. I pared them down to just the RRC. It has the best of everything. It almost as capable as the Defender but has A/C, leather seats, and all the comforts you need. It rides quiet and soaks up bumpy roads like they aren't even there.

I believe it's called 'Wing in Ground Effect'. Close to the ground they get a little boost and can take off while heavier than normal. Wikipedia seems to agree. I'll let a pilot go into it deeper.

I didn't start the scenario. So much for reading comprehension.

It's a good thing all roads are straight and we never need to give steering input. ;)

Did not know. TIL. My cars are either too old to have steering locks or push button start. :)

No power steering and possibly a locked steering wheel if the keys turned all the way to 'Off'. Let's see you steer out of a locked steering wheel.

Agreed. I used to live in a small cabin on top of Palomar Mtn next door. I wish the word would get out just how bad those roads really are so people would stay off them.

It's a good story to link as it was more than one case in a single storm and not just a one-off fluke. And great minds link alike. :)

Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it's not a thing. We had a neighbor die from this very thing. They were shoveling out their car from a few feet of snow. They sat down in the car, presumably to warm up, and their corpse was found an hour later dead from carbon monoxide poisoning. This was the early

I'll allow it.

You forgot: "having more power then downforce" *than

Then =/= than.

The only time I've ever considered a lease was when looking at a Leaf. In 3 years a lot can change in the electric car market and I didn't want to be stuck with an 'outdated' model. The Leaf was great for my needs. 3 mile commute on city streets.

You know, you're right! We could have a solid business plan here. Buy PVC, make 'jack stands', sell them to chumpsdiscerning clients, Profit! These are over $500. I bet we could sell at $200 and still make a 'killing'. Literally.

I think PVC is probably cheaper, lighter, and easier to work with. I'd go with that.

I have a MkVI R. I should know better. :)

You got me. I spaced. I will admit my error and not edit my shame.

365hp is not 395hp. Also, the R400 is fully warrantied. If you want to get really stupid do a Stage 1 on the R400. :D

I'd trade our MkVI R on one of those immediately. Where do I sign up?

What mark ups? When I bought my wife's fully loaded R they were making deals. They had like 4 on the lot to choose from too. She loves that car to death. I keep trying to point her at the R400 and she's happy enough with the one she has.
